It was recorded October 1996 – April 1997, at “Abbey Road Studios”; “AIR Studios”; “Orinoco Studios” and “Master Rockin” in London; “Ridge Farm” in Surrey, and was produced by Owen Morris and Noel Gallagher. On the first day of release, “Be Here Now” sold over 424,000 copies, becoming the fastest-selling album in British chart history. The album was certified Platinum in Australia by the “ARIIA”; 2 x Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada”; 2 x Platinum in Japan by “RIAJ”; Platinum in Spain by “PROMUSICAE”; Platinum in Sweden by “GLF”; 6 x Platinum in UK by the “BPI”, and Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”.
