Sparks: The Seduction of Ingmar Bergman

On August 12, 2009, “Lil’ Beethoven” and “SR Records” labels released “The Seduction of Ingmar Bergman”, the 22nd Sparks album. It was recorded 2008 – 2009, at “Hollywood American Studios” in Hollywood, “Radio Drama Studio” in Stockholm, Sweden, and was produced by Ron Mael, Russell Mael, and Marie Wennersten (producer for Swedish recording). The album was conceived as a radio drama, commissioned by “Sveriges Radio Radioteatern”. It was created to be listened as a single piece, rather than a collection of stand-alone songs.

Richie Hayward

On August 12, 2010, Richard “Richie” Hayward died aged 64. He was a musician (drums), best known as the drummer of Little Feat. Hayward recorded and performed with many artists including Paul Rodgers, The Doobie Brothers, Bob Dylan, Peter Frampton, Buddy Guy, Arlo Guthrie, Al Kooper, Linda Ronstadt, Bob Seger, Carly Simon, Nancy Sinatra, Stephen Stills, Tom Waits, John Cale, Warren Zevon, Warren HaynesJoan Armatrading, Delaney Bramlett, Kim Carnes, Eric Clapton, Ry Cooder, James Cotton,  Jonny Lang, Barbra Streisand, Eric Lynn, Nils Lofgren, Taj Mahal, Coco Montoya, Robert Palmer, Van Dyke Parks, Robert Plant, Helen Watson, and Jimmy Herring.

Luther Allison

On August 12, 1997, Luther Allison died aged 57. He was musician (guitar), worked with Howlin’ Wolf, Freddie King, Jimmy Dawkins, James Cotton, Magic Sam, and Otis Rush. In 1998, Allison was posthumously inducted into the “Blues Hall of Fame”. He released 27 albums (5 released posthumously).
