On September 23, 2025, Daniel Henry Edward Thompson aka Danny Thompson died aged 86. He was musician (upright bass, tea chest bass), songwriter and record producer, member of Alexis Korner’s Blues Incorporated, led a trio that included John McLaughlin, but was best known as member of Pentangle and long – time collaborator with John Martyn. During his long musical career he recorded and played with a large variety of other musicians, including Richard Thompson, Kate Bush, Tim Buckley, ABC, Skin, Ayuo, Richard Barbieri, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Sam Brown, Graham Coxon, Donovan, Christine Collister, Barbara Dickson, Bick Drake, Everything but the Girl, Marianne Faithfull, Peter Gabriel, Davey Graham, Mara!, Linda Lewis, Mike Landup, Magna Carta, The Chris McGregor Septet, Loreena McKennitt, Ralph McTell, Alison Moyet, Cliff Richard, Dizrhythmia, David Sylvian, Duffy Power, Deva Premal, Andrew Ridgeley, Talk Talk, Loudon Wainwright III, Se. E. John Palmer
In July 2025, John Michael “Poli” Palmer died aged 82. He was musician (piano, keyboards, synthesizer, vibraphone, flute, drums), member of the bands The Hellions, Deep Feeling, The Blossom Toes, Bakerloo, Ian Matthews Southern Comfort and Eclection, but was best known as member of Family. Palmer recorded worked with Linda Lewis, Peter Frampton, Elkie Brooks, Streetwalkers, Roger Chapman and Pete Townshend. As leader he released one album.

On April 13, 1973, “RCA” label released “Aladdin Sane”, the sixth David Bowie album. It was recorded 6 October 1972, 3 December 1972 – 24 January 1973, at “Trident Studios”, London and “RCA Studios” in New York and Nashville, and was produced by Ken Scott and David Bowie. “Rolling Stones” magazine ranked “Aladdin Sane” at number 277 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of all Time”. “Pitchfork Media” ranked the album at number 77 on its list of the top “100 Albums of the 1970s”.
