Ian Moore: Modernday Folklore

On June 27, 1995, “Capricorn Records” label released “Modernday Folklore”, the second Ian Moore studio album. It was recorded 1994 – 1995, and was produced by Mark Howard and Ian Moore.

Beck: One Foot in the Grave

On June 27, 1994, “K Records” label released “One Foot in the Grave”, the fourth Beck album. It was recorded October 1993 – January 1994 at “Dub Narcotic Studio” in Olympia, Washington, and was produced by Calvin Johnson.

Mountain: Flowers of Evil

In November 1971, “Windfall” label released “Flowers of Evil”, the third Mountain album. The album consists of studio recordings and live recordings. Studio selections were recorded September 1971 at the “Record Plant” in  New York City, and the live selections were recorded on June 27, 1971 at the “Fillmore East” in New York City, and were produced by Leslie West, Felix Pappalardi, Steve Knight and Corky Laing.

Bobby Womack

On June 27, 2014, Robert Dwayne “Bobby” Womack died aged 70. He was  musician (guitar), singer and songwriter, with career spanned more than 60 years. He performed and composed in various music styles, rock and roll, doo-wop, gospel, and country, but he became famous for his R&B and soul period. He is also known as composer  of the Rolling Stones’ first UK No. 1 hit, “It’s All Over Now”. As leader Womack released 23 albums.

John Entwistle

On June 27, 2002, John Alec Entwistle died aged 57. He was musician (bass), singer, songwriter, composer, movie and music producer, best known as the bass player of The Who. Nicknamed “The Ox” and “Thunderfingers, he was voted as the “Greatest Bass Guitarist of All Time” in a “Rolling Stone” magazine reader’s poll. In 1990, Entwistle was inducted into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” as a member of The Who. As leader he released seven albums:

Freak Out!

On June 27, 1966, “Verve” label released “Freak Out!” the debut Mothers of Invention album. It was recorded in March 1996, at “Sunset-Highland Studios of T.T.G. Inc” in Hollywood, and was produced by Tom Wilson. In 1999, “Freak Out” was honored with the “Grammy Hall of Fame Award”. In 2003, “Rolling Stone ranked it at number 246 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.
