Scritti Politti: Provision

In June 1988, “Virgin” label released “Provision”, the third Scritti Politti album. It recorded 1987–1988 at “Minot Sound” in Atlantic, “Hit Factory”, “Right Track”, “Sorcerer Sound” in New York; “Britannia Row”, “AIR, Townhouse”, “Sarm West”, “Swan Yard” in London, and was produced by Green Gartside, David Gamson and John Potoker.

Suzanne Vega: Same

In May 1985, “A&M” label released the self-titled, debut Suzanne Vega album. It was recorded January-March 1985, at “Celestial Sound Studios” in New York City, and was produced by Steve Addabbo, Lenny Kaye and Steven Miller. In 1989, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “Suzanne Vega” at number 80 on its list of the “100 Best Albums of the Eighties”.

On October 17, 1989, “Columbia” label released “Storm Front”, the eleventh Billy Joel studio album. It was recorded 1988 – 1989, at “The Hit Factory”; “Times Square Studio”;  “Right Track Recording”; The Power Station” in New York, and “The Warehouse Studio” in Vancouver, British Columbia, and was produced by Billy Joel and Mick Jones. The album was certified Platinum in Australia by “ARIA”; 2 x Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada”; Platinum in Germany by “BVMI”; Platinum in Japan by “RIAJ”; Platinum in UK by “BPI”, and 4 x Platinum in the US by “RIIA”.
