On December 8, 1967, “Decca” label released “Their Satanic Majesties Request”, the sixth Rolling Stones” studio album. It was recorded February – October 1967, at the “Olympic Studios” in London, and was produced by Mick Jagger, Leith Richards, Brian Jones, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts.

It was recorded in November 1968, and February – November 1969, at the “Olympic Studios” in London, and was produced by Jimmy Miller. It  was the last album to feature Brian Jones and the first one to feature Mick Taylor.

The album marked the 10th anniversary of the band’s debut album and was the last Rolling Stones album with Mick Taylor.

Alexis Korner

On January 11,984, Alexis Korner died aged 55. He was musician (guitar, harmonica), singer and songwriter,  regarded “The Founding Father of British Blues”, was a major force behind the British 60’s R&B scene. In the early 60s he formed the band “Blues Incorporated”, featuring at various times Jack Bruce, Charlie Watts, Terry Cox, Davy Graham, Ginger Baker, Long John Baldry, Ronnie Jones, Danny Thompson, Graham Bond, Cyril Davies, Malcolm Cecil and Dick Heckstall-Smith.
