On September 8, 2016, Cecil Bustamente Campbell aka Prince Buster, died aged 78. He was singer-songwriter and music producer, known as the first Jamaican to have a top 20 hit in the UK. His records form the 1960s, influenced the sound of ska and inspired the reggae artists of the late ’70s.

Dr. Ralph Stanley
On June 23, 2016, Ralph Edmund Stanley (also known as Dr. Ralph Stanley) died aged 89. He was musician (banjo) and singer, known for his distinctive singing. He started his career in 1946, together with his brother Carter, as The Stanley Brothers, and continued as leader of his own band The Clinch Mountain Boys. Stanley had important role in the popularization of the bluegrass genre. He was inducted into the “International Bluegrass Music Hall of Honor” and the “Grand Ole Opry”.
Red Hot Chili Peppers: The Getaway
On June 17, 2016, “Warner Bros” label released “The Getaway”, the eleventh Red Hot Chili Peppers studio album. It was recorded 2015 – 2016, at the “The Sound Factory” in Hollywood, and was produced by Danger Mouse. The album cover was a painting by Kevin Peterson.
