On June 5, 1990, Jim Hodder died aged 42. He was musician (drums, percussion, vocal), member of the bands The Bead Game and Steely Dan. As session drummer he recorded and performed with Linda Ronstadt, Sammy Hagar, The Rowans and David Soul.
