Christopher Cross: Same

In December 1979, “Warner Bros” label released the self-titled, debut Christopher Cross album. It was recorded in July 1979, at “Warner Bros Studios” in Hollywood, and was produced by Michael Omartian. The album was certified Platinum in UK by “BPI”, and 5 x Platinum in US by “RIAA”.

On December 8, 1979, “United Artists” label released “On Parole”, the fourth Motörhead album. It was recorded September – December 1975, February 1978, at “Rockfield Studios” in Monmouth, Wales, and was produced by Fritz Fryer and  Dave Edmunds.

It was recorded November 1978 – October 1979, at “Northstar Studios” in Boulder; “Quadraphonic Sound Studios” in Nashville; “Bayshore Recording Studios” in Coconut Grove, “The Village Recorder” in Los Angeles, and “Record Plant” in Sausalito, and was produced by Dan Fogelberg, Marty Lewisand and Norbert Putnam.

Skids: Days in Europa

On October 12, 1979, “Virgin” label released “Days in Europa”, the second Skids album. It was recorded in 1979, at “Rockfield Studios” in Wales, “The Manor Studios”  in Shipton-on-Cherwell in Oxfordshire, England, and was produced by Bill Nelson. The initial released album was with an Aryan album cover reminiscent of the 1936 Olympics, with Germanic Gothic-style lettering.

In February 1980, “Arista” label released the self-titled, debut Willie Nile album. It was recorded in 1979, at ”Record Plant” in New York City, and was produced by Roy Halee. “Stereo Review” magazine voted it (together with The Clash “London Calling”) “Record of the Year” for 1980.
