On April 15, 1977, “Island” label release “Clear Air Turbulence”, the  second Ian Gillan Band studio album. It was recorded at “Kingsway Recorders” in London, and was produced by Ian Gillan, Colin Towns, John Gustafson, Ray Fenwick and Mark Nauseef.

Still_Life

On April 15, 1976, “Charisma” label released “Still Life”, album by Van der Graaf Generator. It was recorded 12-25 January 1976, at “Rockfield Studios”, except tracks “Pilgrims” and “La Rossa”, recorded in June 1975, and was produced by Van der Graaf Generator. The album cover features a Lichtenberg figure, a frozen-in-action shot of an electrical discharge from a real Van de Graaff generator machine, set in acrylic.

Second Helping

On April 15, 1974, “Sounds of the South” label released “Second Helping”, the second Lynyrd Skynyrd album. It was recorded in January 1974, at “Record Plant Studios”, in Los Angeles, except track “Sweet Home Alabama”, recorded in June 1973, at “Studio One” in Doraville, Georgia, and was produced by Al Kooper. In 1987, the album was certified 2x Platinum by the “RIAA”.

Aftermath

On April 15, 1966, “Decca” label released “Aftermath” the fourth Rolling Stones (The) studio album. It was recorded 3–8 December 1965, 6–9 March 1966, at “RCA Studios” in California, and was produced by Andrew Loog Oldham.  This was band’s first album to consist entirely of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards compositions, and their first album released in true stereo. In 2002, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “Aftermath” at number 109 on its list of “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.
