On June 7, 2012, Robert Lawrence Welch Jr. died aged 66. He was musician (vocal, guitar, bass guitar) and songwriter, member of the bands Seven Souls, Head West and Paris, but was best known as vocalist and guitarist of Fleetwood Mac (1971 – 1974). As leader Welch released seven studio albums.

On June 4, 2020, Rupert Neville Hine died aged 72. He was musician (various instruments), songwriter and record producer. As producer he worked with Kevin Ayers, Bob Geldof, Howard Jones, Saga, Thompson Twins, Stevie Nicks, Tina Turner, Chris de Burgh, Suzanne Vega and Rush. Under his real name, under the pseudo-band name Thinkman, and as a member of the band Quantum Jump, Hine released eleven albums.

As producer, composer and sideman he worked with Madonna, Models, The Four Tops, Randy Crawford, Rebbie Jackson, Bunny DeBarge, John Adams, Elisa Fiorillo, The Weather Girls, Nick Scott, Stephanie Mills, Gary Bartz, The Spinners, Lou Rawls, Roberta Flack, Donny Hathaway, James Mtume, Carlos Garnett, Norman Connors, Babatunde Olatunji, Flora Purim, Lonnie Liston Smith, Zbigniew Seifert, Masabumi Kikuchi and Shunzo Ohno. As leader Lucas released two albums.
Skip Spence
On April 16, 1999, Alexander Lee “Skip” Spence died aged 52. He was musician (drums, guitar, bass), singer and songwriter, started the career as guitarist in Quicksilver Messenger, played drums on “Jefferson Airplane Takes Off”, the debut Jefferson Airplane album, but was best known as co-founder and guitar player of Moby Grape. As leader, Spence released one album.
Neil Landon
On March 26, 2020, Patrick Cahill aka Neil Landon died 78. He was singer and songwriter, member of the Rolling Stones (band from Dover from 1960, nothing to do with the later Rolling Stones), The Burnettes, The Ivy League, The Flower Pot Man, but was best known as founding member, singer and songwriter of Fat Mattress.
Daniel Hartman
On March 22, 1994, Daniel Earl Hartman died aged 43. He was musician (guitar, bass guitar, keyboards), singer, songwriter and music producer. As songwriter, musician and producer he collaborated with many musicians and bands including The Edgar Winter Group, James Brown, the Plasmatics, Steve Winwood, Time Bandits, Paul King, Joe Cocker, Tina Turner, Holly Johnson, Take That, Dusty Springfield, Bonnie Tyler, Living in a Box and Paul Young. As leader Hartman released eight albums.

On March 2007, Luther Thomas Ingram died aged 69. He was singer and songwriter, best known for his song 1972 “(If Loving You Is Wrong) I Don’t Want to Be Right”, and as composer of the Staple Singers classic “Respect Yourself”. Ingram released five albums.

On March 14, 1991, Jerome Solon Felder aka Doc Pomus died aged 65. He was singer and songwriter, co-writer (together with Mort Shuman) of big number of hits, many of them became rock and roll standards, including: “A Teenager in Love”, “Save The Last Dance For Me”, “Hushabye”, “This Magic Moment”, “Turn Me Loose”, “Sweets For My Sweet”, “Go, Jimmy, Go”, “Little Sister”, “Can’t Get Used to Losing You”, “Suspicion”, “Surrender” and “His Latest Flame”. He also co-wrote with Phil Spector few successful tracks including “Young Boy Blues”, “Ecstasy”, “First Taste of Love” and “What Am I to Do?” His songs were performed by hundreds of artists including The Beatles, Ray Charles, Elvis Presley, Elvis Costello, Dean Martin, Andy Williams, Bad Company, Leonard Cohen, Van Morrison, Led Zeppelin, Bruce Springsteen, Michael Buble, Dolly Parton, Joe Cocker, ZZ Top, Emmy Lou Harris, Bob Dylan, Brian Wilson, Harry Nilsson, John Hiatt, The Beach Boys, B.B. King, Dion, The New York Dolls, Shawn Colvin and Los Lobos. As singer Pomus performed with Milt Jackson, Mickey Baker, and King Curtis. In 1991 he was inducted into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame”, in 1992, in the “Songwriters Hall of Fame”, and in 2012 into the “Blues Hall of Fame”.
Asa Brebner
On March 10, 2019, Asa Brebner died aged 65. He was musician (guitar), singer and songwriter, one of the main figures of the Boston alternative music scene. He supported and worked with Robin Lane & the Chartbusters, Mickey Clean & the Mezz, the Grey Boys, The Family Jewels, and the Naked I’s. He was founding member and leader of Asa Brebner’s Idle Hands, but was best known as member and guitarist of Jonathan Richman & the Modern Lovers.
