On February 8, 2010, “Secretly Canadian” label released “Odd Blood”, the second Yeasayer studio album. It was recorded in 2009, at “Jersville Studio” in Woodstock, New York, “Great City Productions” in New York City, and was produced by Chris Keating, Anand Wilder and Ira Wolf Tuton.

It was recorded in 2009, at “Real World Box” in UK, “El Cortijo” in San Pedro de Alcántara, Spain, and was produced by Mike Pela and Sade. The album was certified Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada”, 2x Platinum in France by “SNEP”, Platinum in Greece by “IFPI Greece”, 2 x Platinum in Hungary by “MAHASZ”, Diamond in Poland by “ZPAV”, 2 x Platinum in Russia by “NFPF”, Platinum in Switzerland by “IFPI Switzerland”, and Platinum in US by “RIAA”.

Eric Haydock

On January 5, 2019, Eric Haydock died age 75. He was musician (bass) best known as the original bass guitarist of The Hollies. He was one of the first British musicians to play a “Fender Bass VI”, a six-string bass. In 2010, as member of The Hollies, Haydock was inducted into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame”.

Klaxons: Landmark of Lunacy

On December 14, 2018, Joseph Osborn died aged 81. He was musician (bass), known for his work as a session musician, member of the Wrecking Crew in Los Angeles, and the A-Team in Nashville. He recorded and performed with Ricky Nelson, Johnny Rivers, the Mamas & the Papas, The Association, The 5th Dimension, Simon & Garfunkel, The Carpenters, Don Francisco, The Grass Roots, America, Glen Campbell, Thelma Houston, Al Kooper, Billy Joel, Michael Nesmith, Barbra Streisand, Lulu, Paul Simon, David Clayton-Thomas, Art Garfunkel, J. J. Cale, Olivia Newton-John, Amy Grant, Kenny Rogers, Neil Young, Tanya Tucker, and Jackie Lomax. In 2010, Osborn was inducted into the “Louisiana Music Hall of Fame”.

James Moody

On December 9, 2010, James Moody died aged 85. He was musician (saxophone, flute) and singer, best known for his work in bebop and hard bop Jazz. He recorded and performed with some of the biggest names in Jazz music including Dizzy Gillespie, Art Farmer, Kenny Barron, Jon Faddis, Eddie Jefferson, Johnny Coles, Todd Coolman, Rufus Reid, Gil Fuller, Milt Jackson, Dexter Gordon, Elvin Jones, Quincy Jones, Charles Mingus, Max Roach, Lalo Schifrin, Bobby Thimons, Cedar Walton, Tubby Hayes, and Roberta Gambarini. In 2011, Moody posthumously won “Grammy Award” for “Best Jazz Instrumental album”, for his album “Moody 4B”. The “New Jersey Performing Arts Center” hosts the “James Moody Democracy of Jazz Festival”. As a leader Moody released 44 albums.
