Oasis - Definitely Maybe

On August 29, 1994, “Creation Records” label released “Definitely Maybe”, the debut Oasis studio album. It was recorded December 1993– April 1994, at “Clear Studios” in Manchester and “The Pink Museum” in Liverpool, and was produced by Liam Gallagher, Noel Gallagher, Paul Arthurs, Paul McGuigan, Tony McCarroll, Mark Coyle, Owen Morris and David Batchelor . In June 2006, “NME” magazine conducted a readers’ poll in which “Definitely Maybe” was voted the greatest album of all time. The album was certified Platinum in Australia by “ARIA”; Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada”; Platinum in France by “SNEP”; Platinum in Sweden by “GLF”; 7 x Platinum in the UK by the “BPI, and Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”

On August 9, 1994, “Elektra” Label released “Mars Audiac Quintet”, third Stereolab studio album. It was released as CD with bonus two-track disk, the double vinyl album with a 7″. “Pitchfork Media”  ranked the album at number 78 on its list of the “Best Albums of the 1990s”.

It was recorded September 1993 – April 1994, and was produced by Don Was and The Glimmer Twins. “Voodoo Lounge” is the band’s first album without Bill Wyman on bass, and the last Rolling Stones album published on cassette. The album was certified 3 x Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada”; Platinum in Germany by “BVMI”; Platinum in Mexico by “AMPROFON”; Platinum in Netherlands by “NVPI” and 2 x Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”.

It was recorded 1994 – 1996, and was produced by Beck Hansen, The Dust Brothers,Mario Caldato, Jr, Brian Paulson,Tom Rothrock and Rob Schnapf. In 1997 “Odelay” won “Grammy Award” for “Best Alternative Music Album” and “Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance” for the song “Where It’s At”. “Rolling Stone” magazine voted “Odelay” “Album of the Year”, “Best Album of the Year” in The Village Voice Pazz & Jop” critics poll, and album of the year in “NME” annual critics poll. On June 13, 1995, “Maverick Records” label released “Jagged Little Pill”, the third Alanis Morissette studio album. It was recorded 1994 – 1995, at “Westlake Recording Studios” and “Signet Sound” in Hollywood, and was produced by Alanis Morissette and Glen Ballard. “Jagged Little Pill” won five “Grammy Awards” including “Album of the Year”, making Morissette the youngest artists ever to receive this award. “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album at number 327 on its list of “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. At the 1997 “Juno Awards”, the album song “Ironic” won “Single of the Year” award, and Morissette won “Songwriter of the Year” and the “International Achievement” award. “Jagged Little Pig” was huge commercial success selling more than thirty million copies worldwide.
