Faces: Long Player

In February 1971, “Warner Bros” label released “Long Player”, the second Faces studio album. It was recorded September 1970 – January 1971, at “Morgan Studios” in London and “The Rolling Stones Mobile Recording Unit”, the live tracks recorded in November 1970 at “Filmore East” in New York City, and was produced by Rod Stewart, Ronnie Lane, Ronnie Wood, Ian McLagan and Kenney Jones.

On February 14, 2020, “Modular” and “Island Australia” labels released “The Slow Rush”, the fourth Tame Impala studio album. It was recorded in 2020, at Kevin Parker’s home studio in Fremantle, Australia, and in Los Angeles, and was produced by Kevin Parker. At the 2020 “ARIA Music Awards”, “The Slow Rush” won five categories: “ARIA Award for Album of the Year”, “Best Group”, “Best Rock Album”, “Engineer of the Year” and “Producer of the Year”.

Dale Hawkins

On February 13, 2010, Delmar Allen “Dale” Hawkins died aged 73. He was musician (guitar), singer, songwriter and record producer, known as the architect of swamp rock boogie. His song “Susie Q.” was chosen as one of “The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll”.
