On January 24, 1995, “RCA Victor” label released “The Long Black Veil”, the 31st Chieftains album. It was recorded 1994 – 1995, at “Lake House Studio” in England, “Windmill Lane” and “Westland Studios” in Dublin, “Clinton Recording Studios” in New York City, “Utility Muffin Research Kitchen” in Los Angeles, and was produced by Paddy Moloney, Chris Kimsey and Ry Cooder. The album was certified 2 x Platinum in Ireland by “IRMA”.

It was recorded May – October 1997, at “The Plant Studios” in Sausalito, California, and was produced by James Hetfield, Bob Rock and Lars Ulrich. The album was certified Platinum in Australia by “ARIA”, 2 x Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada”, Platinum in Finland by “Musiikkituottajat”, Platinum in Germany by “BVMI”, Platinum in Poland by “ZPAV”, Platinum in Sweden by “GLF”, and 3 x Platinum in US by “RIAA”.

Robert Quine

On May 31, 2004, Robert Wolfe Quine died aged 61.  He was musician (guitar),  worked with Richard Hell & the Voidoids, Lou Reed, Brian Eno, John Zorn,Ikue Mori, Marc Ribot, Marianne Faithfull, Lloyd Cole, Tom Waits, Matthew Sweet, They Might Be Giants, Odds and Jody Harris. As leader, Quine released three albums.
