The recordings were constructed from DAT tapes provided to by the singer’s widow, Jeanene, and were produced by Eric Paul. Townes Van Zadt’s original vocals and guitar were recorded 1989 – 1996, at “Texhoma Music Group Studio” and “Cowboy Arms Hotel and Recording Spa” in Nashville, Tennessee.
