On July 30, 2001, “RCA” label released “Is This It” the debut Strokes (The) album. It was recorded March – April 2001, at “Transporterraum” in New York City, and was produced by Gordon Raphael. The album was certified 2 x Platinum in Australia by “ARIA”, Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada”, Platinum in Denmark by “IFPI Denmark”, Platinum in Sweden by “GLF”, 2 x Platinum in the UK by “BPI”, and Platinum in the US by “RIAA”.
