On October 10, 1995, “Reprise” label released “Insomniac”, the fourth Green Day studio album. It was recorded December 1994 – May 1995, at “Hyde Street” in San Francisco, and was produced by Rob Cavallo, Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool.

Sonny Curtis

On September 19, 2025, Sonny Curtis died aged 88. He was musician (guitar), singer and songwriter, collaborated with Buddy Holly, but was best known as member of The Crickets. His two best known songs are “Walk Right Back” performed by The Everly Brother, and “I Fought the Law”, performed by Bobby Fuller Fou, The Clash and Green Day. As leader, Curtis released eight albums.

On December 7, 2012, “Reprise” label released “¡Tré!”, the third and final installment in the “¡Uno! ¡Dos! ¡Tré!” trilogy, a series of studio albums that were released from September to December 2012, and the eleventh Green Day studio album overall. It was recorded February – June 2012, at “Jingletown Studios” in Oakland, California, and was produced by Rob Cavallo, Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, Tré Cool and Jason White.

On May 15, 2009, “Reprise” label released “21st Century Breakdown”, the eighth Green Day studio album. It was recorded January 2008 – April 2009, at “Ocean Way Recording” inHollywood; “Studio 880” in Oakland, California,  “Jel Studios” in Newport Beach, California, “Costa Mesa Studios” in Costa Mesa, California, and was produced by Butch Vig, Billy Joe Armstrong, Tré Cool and Mike Dirnt. At the 52nd Grammy Awardsheld in January 2010, “21st Century Breakdown” won “Grammy Award” for “Best Rock Album”. The album was certified Platinum in US by “RIAA”.

On February 1, 1994, “Reprise” label released “Dookie”, the third Green Day studio album.  It was recorded September – October 1993, at the “Fantasy Studios” in Berkeley, and was produced by Rob Cavallo , Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool .  The album was certified Diamond in US by the “RIIA”. It  won “Grammy Award” for “Best Alternative Music Album” in 1995 and is ranked at number 193 on magazine Rolling Stone’s list of “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.
