On June 30, 1986, “Sire” label released “True Blue”, the third Madonna studio album. It was recorded December 1985–April 1986, at “Channel Recording Studios” in Los Angeles, and was produced by Madonna, Stephen Bray and Patrick Leonard. “True Blue” was global commercial success, reaching number one in record-breaking 28 countries worldwide, spending 34 consecutive weeks at the top of the “European Top 100 Albums” chart, longer than any other album in history. It became the world’s top-selling album of 1986,and the best-selling album of the 1980s by a female artist. In 1986, as recognition of her impact on the popular culture, Madonna became the first female artist to receive the “Video Vanguard Award” at the 1986 “MTV Video Music Awards”.

On May 17, 2013, “Daft Life” and “Columbia” labels released “Random Access Memories”, the fourth Daft Punk studio album. It was recorded 2008, 2010, 2012, and was produced by Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. The album single, “Get Lucky”, was a critical and commercial success, topping the charts in more than 30 countries worldwide and becoming one of the best-selling digital singles of all time. In 2014, the album won “Grammy Awards” for “Album of the Year”, “Best Dance/Electronica Album” and “Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical”. The song “Get Lucky” won “Grammy Awards” for “Record of the Year” and “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance”.

With more than 65 million copies sold worldwide“Thriller” is the best selling album of all time. In 1984, the album won a record eight “Grammy Awards”, including “Album of the Year” award. In 2003 magazine “Rolling Stone” ranked “Thriller” on number 20 on its list of “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. “The National Association of Recording Merchandisers” ranked “Thriller” at number three in its “Definitive 200” albums of all time. The album was included in the “Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry” of culturally significant recordings. In 2012, magazine “Slant” ranked “Thriller” at number one on its list of “Best Albums of the 1980”.
