Ultra Vivid Scene: Joy 1996 – 1990

On May 7, 1990, “4AD” label released “Joy 1967–1990”, the second Ultra Vivid Scene studio album. It was recorded in November 1989, at “First Protocol” in London, and weas produced by Hugh Jones.

Courtney Barnett: Tell Me How You Really Feel

On May 18, 2018, “Milk! Records”, “Mom + Pop Music + Marathon Artists” labels released “Tell Me How You Really Feel”, the second Courtney Barnett studio album. It was recorded in July 2017, at “Soundpark” in Northcote, Victoria, Australia, and was produced by Courtney Barnett, Burke Reid and Dan Luscombe. At the 2018 “ARIA Music Awards”, “Tell Me How You Really Feel” won the “Best Rock Album”.

Pixies: Doolittle

Pixies-Doolittle

On April 18, 1989, “4AD” released “Doolittle”, the second Pixies studio album. It was recorded October 31 – November 23, 1988, at “Downtown Recorders” in Boston, “Massachusetts”  and  “Carriage House Studios” in Stamford, Connecticut, and was produced by Gil Norton. In 1995, the album was certified Gold by the “Recording Industry Association of America”. In 2003 “NME” magazine writers ranked  “Doolittle”as the second-greatest album of all time, and “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album at number 226 on its list of “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.
