Peter Michael Hamel: Arrow of Time / The Cycle of Time

On June 3, 1991, “Kuckuck Schallplatten” label released “Arrow of Time / The Cycle of Time”, the tenth Peter Michael Hamel album. It was recorded in May 1991, at the “Moyes Hall” of the “Slovak Philharmonic” in Bratislava, Slovakia, and was produced by Karol Kopernicky and Eckart Rahn.

David Swarbrick

On June 3, 2016, David Cyril Eric Swarbrick died aged 75. He was singer-songwriter and musician (violin, viola, mandolin, guitar), one of the most highly regarded musicians from the second British folk revival, contributing to some of the most important groups and projects of the 1960s. He has worked with Ian Campbell Folk Group, Martin Carthy, Whippersnapper and Swarb’s Lazarus, but was best known for his work with Fairport Convention. Swarbrick recorded thirteen albums as a leader.

Clarence Fountain

On June 3, 2018, Clarence Fountain died aged 88. He was a founding member and leader of the gospel group Blind Boys of Alabama. Fountain and the group have worked with many famous musicians including Tom Waits, Lou Reed, Justin Vernon, k.d. Lang and Mavis Staples. Blind Boys of Alabama won five “Grammy Awards”, and received the “Grammy’s Lifetime Achievement Award”, and were inducted into the “Alabama Music Hall of Fame” in 2010.
