In September 1970, “Philips” label released “The Original Human Being”, the fifth Blue Cheer album. It was recorded in 1970, and was produced by Eric Albronda and Ralph Burns Kellogg.

It was recorded February – June 1984, at “Compass Point Studios” in Nassau, Bahamas, and was produced by Martin Birch. In 2017, it was ranked at number 38 at “Rolling Stone’s” list of the “100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time”. The album was certified 2 x Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada” and Platinum in US by the “RIIA”.

It was recorded 1979 – 1980, at “A&R Studios” in New York City and  “Agora Club” in Cleveland, Ohio, and was produced by Paul Simon and Phil Ramone. The album was released concurrently with the film of the same name, in which Paul Simon also starred.
