It was recorded September 1999 – August 2000, at “Sarm Hook End” and “Deliverance” in London, “El Cortijo” in San Pedro de Alcántara, Spain, and was produced by Mike Pela, Sade Adu, Andrew Hale, Stuart Matthewman and Paul S. Denman. In 2002, “Lovers Rock” earned Sade the “Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album”.
