On June 25, 2002, “DGC” label released “Murray Street”, the twelve Sonic Youth studio album. It was recorded August 2001 – March 2002, at “Echo Canyon” in New York City, and was produced by Thurston Moore, Kim Gordon, Lee Renaldo, Jim O’Rourke and Steve Shelley.

Odelay

On June 18, 1996, “DGC” label released “Odelay”, the second Beck studio album. It was recorded 1994 – 1996, and was produced by Beck Hansen, The Dust Brothers,Mario Caldato, Jr, Brian Paulson,Tom Rothrock and Rob Schnapf. In 1997 “Odelay” won “Grammy Award” for “Best Alternative Music Album” and “Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance” for the song “Where It’s At”. “Rolling Stone” magazine voted “Odelay” “Album of the Year”, “Best Album of the Year” in The Village Voice Pazz & Jop” critics poll, and album of the year in “NME” annual critics poll. In 2003,”Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album at number 306 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. “Odelay” was certified Platinum in UK by the “BPI”, 2 x Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”.

It was recorded February 2002 – February 2005, at “Cello Studios”, “Grandmaster Recorders”, “Henson Studios”, and Rick Rubin’s home studio in Los Angeles, and was produced by Rick Rubin. The album was certified Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”.

It was recorded August – September 1993, at “Electric Lady Studios” in New York City, and was produced by Ric Ocasek. The album has been certified triple-Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”, and double-platinum in Canada. In 2005, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album at number 297 on its list of the “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time’, and in 2013, at number 35 on its list of “The 100 Best Debut Albums of All Time”.

On September 24, 1991, “DGC” label released “Nevermind” the second Nirvana studio album.  It was recorded in 1991, at “Sound City Studios”, in Van Nuys, and “Smart Studios”,in Madison, and was produced by Butch Vig. The album was certified Diamond in the US by the “RIIA”. “Nevermind” has sold over 30 million copies worldwide.
