On July 6, 2020, Charles Edward Daniels died aged 83. He was a singer, songwriter, and musician (fiddle, guitar), active since the 1950s. For his contribution to Southern rock, country, and bluegrass music, Daniels was inducted into the “Cheyenne Frontier Days Hall of Fame” in 2002, the “Grand Ole Opry” in 2008, the “Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum” in 2009, and the “Country Music Hall of Fame” in 2016.

Leb i Sol: Zvučni zid
On May 14, 1986, “Jugoton” released “Zvučni zid”, the eight Leb i Sol studio album. The album featured music for theater, film and television, created and recorded in the previous ten years of the band existence. The tracks were recorded at “Pitu Guli Sound Studios” and “M2 Studio at RTS” in Skopje, Macedonia, “Lapidarij” in Zagreb, Croatia, and were produced by Vlatko Stefanovski and Bodan Arsovski.

On June 23, 2009, “Columbia” label released “Back & Fourth”, the fourth Pete Yorn album. It was recorded 2006–2009, in Omaha, Nebraska, and was produced by Mike Mogis.

Glen Campbell
On August 8, 2017, Glen Travis Campbell died aged 81. He was country and rock singer, musician, songwriter, television host, and actor. Campbell released more than 70 albums; sold 45 million records and won 12 “RIAA” Gold albums, four Platinum and one double-Platinum album. In 1967 Campbell won four “Grammy Awards” in the country and pop categories. In 2000, 2004 and 2009, Campbell won “Grammy Hall of Fame Awards and in 2012, he won the “Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award”. He also won awards for “Male Vocalist of the Year” the “Country Music Association (CMA)” and the “Academy of Country Music (ACM)”, and took the “CMA’s” top award as 1968 Entertainer of the Year. In his 50 years long career, Campbell has recorded and performed with many famous musicians including Bobby Darin, Ricky Nelson, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, The Monkees, Nancy Sinatra, Merle Haggard, Jan and Dean, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Phil Spector, Ricky Nelson and The Beach Boys.
Van Morrison: Pay The Devil
On March 6, 2006, “Lost Highway” label released “Pay the Devil”, the thirty-second Van Morrison studio album. It was recorded in 2005, and was produced by Van Morrison. The album features twelve cover versions of American country and western songs and three original compositions.

CBGB
On December 10, 1973, “CBGB” club was open by Hilly Kristal at 315 Bowery, intersecting Bleecker Street, in the East Village. New York. The name “CBGB” stands for country, bluegrass and blues, Kristal’s original idea but “CBGB” soon became a legend punk and new wave venue. The Ramones, Television, Patti Smith Group, Blondie, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and Talking Heads are just some of the bands that performed in the club.
The club closed on October 15, 2006, with the final concert by Patti Smith.
Gram Parsons
On September 19, 1973, Gram Parsons died aged 26. He was musician (guitar, piano, organ), singer and songwriter, worked with The International Submarine Band, The Flying Burrito Brothers and The Byrds.
