It was recorded in July 1960, at “Newport Jazz Festival”, in Newport, Rhode Island, and was produced by Leonard Chess. “Rolling Stone” magazine included it at number 348 on its list of “500 Greatest Albums of all Time”.

It was recorded in March 1972, at “Ter-Mar Recording Studios” in Chicago, Illinois, and was produced by Ralph Bass. In 1991, the album was inducted into the “Blues Hall of Fame” as a “Classic of Blues Recording”.

It was recorded in February 1975, at “Levon Helm Studio” in Woodstock, New York, and was produced by Henry Glover. In 1976, the album won “Grammy Award for Best Ethnic or Traditional Folk Recording”.
