On September 15, 2019, Richard Theodore Otcasek aka Ric Ocasek died aged 75. He was singer, songwriter, musician (guitar), record producer and painter, best known as the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and songwriter for the band the Cars. In 2018, he was inducted into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” as a member of the Cars. Ocasek released seven solo albums.

On September 4, 2019, Dan Warner died aged 49. He was guitarist, member of Barry Gibb’s band, but best known for his work with many music stars, including Julio Iglesias, Michael Jackson, Juanes, Marc Anthony, Ricky Martin, Sebastian Yatra, Lil Wayne, Alejandro Sanz and Gloria Estefan. Warner was member of “Recording Academy Florida Chapter Board”, and “Latin Grammy Award” winner in 2009.

He was musician (guitar), singer, songwriter, and photographer, member of Rickey Medlocke’s Blackfoot, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Hard Working Americans, The Skiffle Players and Circles Around the Sun, but best known as a member of Ryan Adams’ backing band the Cardinals. As leader he released twelve albums.
David Berman
On August 7, 2019, David Cloud Berman died aged 52. He was poet, singer, musician (guitar) and cartoonist, best known for his work with the bands Silver Jews and Purple Mountains.

On July 6, 2019, João Gilberto Prado Pereira de Oliveira aka João Gilberto died aged 88. He was singer, musician (guitar) and songwriter, regarded one of the fathers of Bossa Nova genre, and one the most important artists of the twentieth century music.
Dr. John
On June 6, 2019, Malcolm John Rebennack aka Dr. John, died aged 77. He was singer – songwriter and musician (piano, keyboards and guitar), regarded as one of the greatest New Orleans music icons. He had successful solo career and performed and recorded with many famous musicians and bands, including Art Blakey, Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band, Van Morrison, Dan Auerbach, Eric Clapton, Bob Seger, Joe Walsh, Canned Heat, The Rolling Stones, Mike Bloomfield, Spiritualized, David Newman, Ray Anderson, Levon Helm, John Hammond, Gregg Allman, Papa John Creach, Bennie Wallace, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Harry Connick Jr., Hank Crawford, Jimmy Smith, Jools Holland, Steve Tyrell, B. B. King and Marcus Miller. Dr. John won six “Grammy Awards”, and was inducted into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” in 2011. In May 2013, he received honorary doctorate of fine arts from “Tulane University.”
Roky Erickson
On May 31, 2019, Roger Kynard “Roky” Erickson died aged 71. He was singer-songwriter, musician (harmonica, guitar and piano), best known as founding member of The 13th Floor Elevators and a pioneer of the psychedelic rock genre. As leader, Erickson released 17 albums.
Eric Moore
On May 17, 2019, Eric Moore died aged 67. He was musician (bass guitar), singer and songwriter, best known as the frontman, singer and bassist of The Godz.
