On July 14, 1981, “I.R.S.” label released “Beauty and the Beat”, the debut Go-Go’s. (The) album. It was recorded in 1981, at “Penny Lane”, “Record Plant” and “Sound Mixers” in New York City, and was produced by Richard Gottehrer and Rob Freeman. The album was certified 2 x platinum in US by “RIAA”.

Terry Hall

On December 19, 2022, Terence Edward Hall died aged 63. He was singer and song-writer, member of The Coventry Automatics, Terry, Blair & Anouchka, The Colourfield, Vegas and Fun Boy Three, but was best known as member and the lead singer of The Specials. He also collaborated with Dave Stewart, Tricky, D12, Sinead o’Connor, Stephen Duffy, Dub Pistols, Bananarama, The Lightning Seeds, Lily Allen, Shakespears Sisters and Damon Albarn.

On February 1, 2019, “Island” label released “Encore”, the eighth Specials studio album. It was recorded in 2018, and was produced by Terry Hall, Lynval Golding, Horace Panter and Torp Larsen.
