On September 6, 2025, Richard Davies died aged 81. He was musician (keyboards, harmonica), singer and songwriter, founding member of Rick’s Blues, member of The Lonely Ones, but was best known as founding member, vocalist, keyboardist and composer of Supertramp.

On March 24, 1997, “EMI” label released “Some Things Never Change”, the tenth Supertramp album. It was recorded in 1996, at “Ocean Way Recording” in Hollywood, “The Backyard Studio” in Encino, California, and was produced by Fred Mandel and Jack Douglas.

Geoffrey Emerick
On October 2, 2018, Geoffrey Emerick died aged 72. He was recording studio audio engineer and producer, worked with America, Elvis Costello, Badfinger, Art Garfunkel, Jeff Beck, Gino Vannelli, Supertramp, Cheap Trick, Nazareth, Chris Bell, Split Enz, Trevor Rabin, Nick Heyward, Big Country, Gentle Giant, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Ultravox, Matthew Fisher, Kate Bush, Nellie McKay and Robin Trower, but he was best known for his work with The Beatles, on their albums Revolver, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, The Beatles and Abbey Road. For his work in the music recording field, Emerick won “European Edison Award” and four “Grammy Awards”.

On September 14, 1975, “A&M” label released “Crisis? What Crisis?”, the fourth Supertramp album. It was recorded 1975, at “A&M Studios” in Los Angeles; “Ramport Studios” and “Scorpio Studios” in London, and was produced by Ken Scott, Rick Davies, Roger Hodgson, John Anthony Helliwell, Dougie Thomson and Bob C. Benberg,.

On June 25, 1971, “A&M” label released “Indelibly Stamped”, the second Supertramp album. It was recorded April – May 1971 at “Olympic Studios” in London, and was produced by Kevin Currie, Rick Davis, Frank Farrell, Roger Hodgson and Dave Winthrop.

Supertramp: Breakfast in America
On March 29, 1979, “A&M” label released “Breakfast in America”, the sixth Supertramp album. It was recorded in 1978, at “The Village Recorder” in Los Angeles, and was produced by Peter Henderson, Rick Davies, John Heliwell, Roger Hodgson, Dougie Thomson and Bob Sienberberg. In 1980, the album won two “Grammy Awards” and was certified quadruple platinum by “RIAA” for sale in US. In France, “Breakfast in America” is the biggest-selling English-language album of all time, and the third biggest seller overall. In 2006, “Q” magazine ranked the album at number two on its list of “Records it’s OK to Love”,
