In October 1972, “Columbia” label released the self-titled, second Loggins and Messina album. It was recorded in 1972, at “Columbia Studios” in Los Angeles, and was produced by Jim Messina and Kenny Loggins.

It was the first digitally recorded major-label album in popular music, recorded on a digital 32-track machine built by 3M.
