Gerry Rafferty: Life Goes On

On November 30, 2009, “Hypertension Music” label released “Life Goes On”, the tenth Gerry Rafferty album, and the last one released in his lifetime. It was recorded in 2009, at  “Icon Studios” in East Sussex, England, “Studio Miraval” in France, “Blue Wave Recording Studios” in St. Philip, Barbados, “Parkgate Studios” in Sussex, England, “Chipping Norton Studios” in Oxfordshire, England, “Tye Farm”, “The Hit Factory”, “Skibo Castle” in Dornoch, Sutherland, Scotland, and was produced by Hugh Murphy and Gerry Rafferty.

In September 1976, “A&M” label released the self-titled, third Joan Armatrading studio album. It was recorded in 1976, at “Olympic Studios” in London, and was produced by Glyn Johns.

The Triffids: In The Pines

In August 1986, “Mushroom” label released “In the Pines”, the third Triffids (The) studio album. It was recorded in April 1986, in a woolshed on a remote Western Australian farming property, owned by the David McCombs’ parents, and was produced by Bruce Callaway and David McComb.

Def Leppard: Hysteria

On August 3, 1987, “Phonogram” label released “Hysteria” the fourth Def Leppard studio album. It was recorded February 1984–January 1987, at “Wisseloord Studios” in Hilversum; “Windmill Lane Studio 2” in Dublin; “Studio Des Dames” in Paris, and was produced by Robert John “Mutt” Lange. In 2004, “Hysteria” was ranked at number 464 on “Rolling Stone’s” magazine list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. The album was certified 4 x Platinum in Australia by “ARIA”; 10 x Platinum in Canada by “CRIA”; Diamond in US by the “RIIA” and 2 x Platinum in UK by the “BPI”.
