Labelle: Pressure Cookin’

On August 7, 1973, “RCA” label released “Pressure Cookin’”, the third Labelle studio album. It was recorded in 1973, at “RCA Studio D” in New York City, and was produced by Vicki Vickham and Stevie Wonder.

On June 10, 1972, “Warner Bros” label released “Moon Shadow”, the second Labelle studio album. It was recorded in 1972, at “Record Plant Studio” in Los Angeles and New York City, and was produced by Jack Adams and Vicki Wickham.

Alice Cooper: Muscle of Love

It was recorded in 1973, at “Sunset Sound” in Hollywood, “Record Plant” in New York, “The Cooper Mansion” in Greenwich, Connecticut, and was produced by Jack Richardson and Jack Douglas.

Anthony Thompson

On November 12, 2003, Anthony Terrence Thompson died aged 48. He was musician (drums), member of bands the Distance, That Hideous Strength, Labelle, The Power Station, and Chic, has performed and recorded with Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Jody Walley, Elton John, Mick Jagger, Crown of Thorns, and Rod Stewart.

Allen Toussaint

On November 10, 2015, Allen Toussaint died aged 77. He was musician (vocal, piano), songwriter, arranger, and record producer, an influential figure in New Orleans rhythm and blues from the 1950s to the end of the century. His compositions were recorded by many musicians, and he was producer of hundreds of recordings. Toussaint recorded and performed with many musicians including Irma Thomas, Lee Dorsey, The Meters, Ernie K Doe, Rosemary Butler, Merry Clayton, Elvis Costello, Dr. John, Venetta Fields, Etta James, Labelle, John Mayall, Paul McCartney, The Meters, Bonnie Raitt, and The Band. As leader Toussaint released eleven studio albums.

Arthur Neville

On July 22, 2019, Arthur Lanon Neville died aged 81. He was singer, musician (piano, keyboards) and songwriter, a founding member of The Meters, co-founder of The Neville Brothers, and founding member of The Funky Meters. He performed and recorded with Paul McCartney, Lee Dorsey, Robert Palmer, Professor Longhair, and Labelle. Neville received three “Grammy Awards”.

Labelle: Phoenix

On August 19, 1975, “Epic” label released “Phoenix” is the fifth Labelle album. It was recorded in 1975, and was produced by Allen Toussaint.
