On July 2, 1982, “F-Beat” label released “Imperial Bedroom”, the seventh Elvis Costello album. It was his second album with his backing band The Attractions. It was recorded in 1982, at “AIR Recording Studios” in London, and was produced by Geoff Emerick. In 1998, “Q” magazine ranked the album at number 96 on its list of the “Greatest Albums Ever”. In 2003, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “Imperial Bedroom” at number 166 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.

On June 2, 1974, “EMI” label released “The Psychomodo”, the second  Cockney Rebel studio album. It was recorded February – March 1974, at “Morgan Studios”, “Nova Sound Studios” and “Air Studios” in London, and was produced by Alan Parsons and Steve Harley.

On May 14, 1996, “Warner Bros” label released “All This Useless Beauty”, the seventeenth Elvis Costello studio album. It was recorded 1990 – 1995, and was produced by Geoff Emerick and Elvis Costello. It was Costello’s final album with his backing band “The Attractions”.

In 2012, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album at number 100 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”; “NME” magazine ranked the album at number 32 on its list of “100 Greatest British Albums Ever!”; “The Guardian” ranked “Odessey and Oracle” at number 77 on its list of “Alternative Top 100 Albums Ever”;  “Mojo” magazine placed it at number 97 in its “100 Greatest Albums Ever Made” list; “Q” magazine ranked the album at number 26 on its list of the “50 Best British Albums Ever!”.

On May 26, 1967, “Parlaphone” label released “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”, the eighth Beatles (The) studio album. It was recorded 24 November 1966 – 21 April 1967, at “EMI Studios” and “Regent Sound Studio” in London, and was produced by George Martin. The album is regarded as the first concept and art album in popular music. “Time” magazine described it as “a historic departure in the progress of music” It was an immediate commercial and critical success, winning four “Grammy Awards” in 1968, including “Album of the Year”, becoming the first rock album to receive this award. “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” at number one in its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. “Oxford Encyclopedia of British Literature” (Professor Kevin J. Dettmar) described it as “the most important and influential rock and roll album ever recorded”.
