Vespertine

On August 27, 2001, “One Little Indian Records” label released “Vespertine”, the fourth Björk solo studio album. It was recorded 2000-2001 in San Pedro de Alcántara, Spain; Reykjavík, Iceland; New York City, and was produced by Björk, Thomas Knak, Martin Gretschmann and Marius de Vries.

It was recorded July 1995 – May 1996, at “Chicago Recording Company” in Chicago, Illinois; ”Kingsway Studio” in New Orleans,Louisiana, “Studio Litho” in Seattle,Washington, and was produced by Brendan O’Brien, Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Jack Irons, Mike McCready and Eddie Vedder. The album was certified Platinum in US by the “RIAA” .

On August 25, 1988, “Elektra” label released “…And Justice for All”, the fourth  Metallica studio album. It was recorded January – May 1988, at “One on One Recording Studios” in Los Angeles, and was produced by James Hetfield,  Kirk Hammett, Jason Newsted, Lars Ulrich and Flemming Rasmussen. “Kerrang!” magazine listed the album at number 42 on its list of the “100 Greatest Heavy Metal Albums of All Time” In 1990, the album single “One” won Metallica its first “Grammy Award” for “Best Metal Performance”.“…And Justice for All” became band’s best-selling album of the time; it was certified 3 x Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada”; Platinum in Finland by “IFPI”; Platinum in Germany by “BVMI”, and 8 x platinum in the US by the “RIIA”.

On August 13, 1970, “Atco” label released “Metamorphosis”, the fourth Iron Butterfly, studio album. It was recorded May – July 1970, and was produced by Richard Podolor. “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album at number 403 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. “Metamorphosis” is noted for having one of the earliest uses of the Talk box on a rock album.

On March 8, 1994, “A&M” label released “Superunknown”, the fourth Soundgarden album. It was recorded July – September 1993, at “Bad Animals Studio” in Seattle, and was produced by Michael Beinhorn, Chris Cornell, Kim Thayll, Ben Shepherd and Matt Cameron.  “Superunknown” was certified 5 x Platinum in US by the “RIAA”. In 2003, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked it at number 336 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of all Time” and at number 38 on magazine’s list of the “100 Greatest Albums of the Nineties”. “Kerrang” magazine listed “Superunknown” in its list of “100 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die”.
