On September 23, 1997, “EMI” label released “Tubthumper”, the eighth Chumbawamba studio album. It was recorded August 1996 – February 1997, at “Woodlands Studio” in Castleford, and was produced by Neil Ferguson, Lou Watts, Danbert Nobacon, Boff Whalley, Neil Ferguson, Alice Nutter, Paul Greco, Harry Hammer and Dunstan Bruce .

Pink Floyd-Piper at the gates of dawn

On August 4, 1967, “EMI” label released “The Piper at the Gates of Dawn”, the debut Pink Floyd studio album. It was recorded February – May 1967, at “EMI Studios” in London, and was produced by Norman Smith. The album, named after the title of chapter seven of Kenneth Grahame’s “The Wind in the Willows”, was the only Pink Floyd’s album recorded by the leadership of Syd Barrett. In 2012,  “Rolling Stone” ranked “The Piper at the Gates of Dawn” at number 347th on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.

On July 21, 1972, “EMI” label released “The Slider”, the seventh T. Rex studio album. It was recorded March–April 1972, at “Rosenberg Studios” in Copenhagen; “Château d’Hérouville” in Paris, and “Elektra Sound Recorders Studios” in Los Angeles, and was produced by Tony Visconti. The album cover photographs were by Ringo Starr.

On July 13, 1973, “EMI” label released the self-titled, debut Queen album. It was recorded December 1971 – November 1972, at “De Lane Lea” and “Trident Studios” in London, and was produced by John Anthony, Roy Thomas Baker, Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and  John Deacon. “Guitarist” magazine ranked the album at number 19 on its list of the “Most Influential Guitar Albums of all Time”; in 2008, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked the album song “Keep Yourself Alive” at number 31 on its list of the “100 Greatest Guitar Songs Of All Time”. The album was certified Platinum in Poland by “ZPAV”.

It was recorded in 1979 – 1980, at “Chipping Norton Recording Studios” in Oxfordshire, and was produced by Pete Wingfield.  “The Guardian” ranked the album at number 93 on its list of the “100 Best Albums Ever” and “Melody Maker” ranked it at number 42 on its list of the “All Time Top 100 Albums”.

It was recorded June – July 1979, February – May 1980, at “Musicland Studios” in Munich, and was produced by Mack, Freddie Mercury, Brian May, John Deacon and Roger Taylor. The album was certified 4 x Platinum in the US by the “RIIA”, and became the best sold Queen album in the US.

On June 17, 1985, “EMI” label released “Misplaced Childhood”, the third Marillion studio album..It was recorded March – May 1985, at “Hansa Tonstudio” in  Berlin,  and was produced by Chris Kimsey. “Classic Rock” magazine ranked “Misplaced Childhood” was ranked at number four on a list of the “30 Greatest Concept Albums of all Time”. In the special edition “Pink Floyd & The Story of Prog Rock” of “Q” magazine, the album was ranked number 17 on its list of “40 Cosmic Rock Albums”. “Misplaced Childhood” was certified Platinum in the UK by the “BPI”.
