On April 25, 2005, “Charisma” label released “Present”, the ninth Van der Graaf Generator studio album. It was recorded 2004 -2005 at “Pyworthy Rectory”, in North Devon, UK.

Van Der Graaf Generator: Still Life

Still_Life

On April 15, 1976, “Charisma” label released “Still Life”, album by Van der Graaf Generator. It was recorded 12-25 January 1976, at “Rockfield Studios”, except tracks “Pilgrims” and “La Rossa”, recorded in June 1975, and was produced by Van der Graaf Generator. The album cover features a Lichtenberg figure, a frozen-in-action shot of an electrical discharge from a real Van de Graaff generator machine, set in acrylic.

It was recorded July 1976  – January 1977, at “The Soundstage” in Toronto, “Morgan Studios” and  “Olympic Studios” in  London, and was produced by Bob Ezrin. The album received the prize of the French “Académie Charles Cros”

On November 18, 1974, “Charisma” label released “The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway”, the sixth Genesis studio album. It was band’s last studio album  with Peter Gabriel and was recorded August – October 1974, at the “Island Mobile Studios” in Wales, and was produced by John Burns, Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks, Phil Collins, Steve Hackett and Mike Rutherford. “The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway” was ranked at number 9 on the “Rolling Stone” magazine list of “50 Greatest Prog Rock Albums of All Time”. The album was deemed one of the 23 “Maddest and Most Memorable Concept Albums” by “NME”.
