The Cars: Move Like This

On May 10, 2011, “Hear Music” label released “Move Like This”, the seventh Cars (The) studio album. It was recorded 2010—2011 at “The Village Recorder” in Los Angeles, “Millbrook Sound Studios” in Millbrook, New York, and was produced by Jacknife Lee, Ric Ocasek, Elliot Easton, Greg Hawkes and David Robinson.

Foo Fighters: Wasting Light

On April 12, 2011, “Roswell/RCA” label released “Wasting Light”, the seventh Foo Fighters studio album. It was recorded September – December 2010, at Dave Grohl’s garage, and was produced by Butch Vig. In 2012, “Wasting Light” earned Foo Fighters five “Grammy Awards”, including “Best Rock Album”. The album was certified 2 x Platinum in Australia by “ARIA”, Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada”, 2 x Platinum in New Zealand by “RMNZ”, and Platinum in UK by “BPI”.

James Marshall

On March 24, 2010, James Joseph Marshall died aged 74. He was  photographer, best known for his photographs of rock musicians, including The Beatles (final paid live concert in San Francisco’s Candlestick Park), Led Zeppelin, Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Neil Young, Janis Joplin, Bob Dylan, Jim Morrison, The Allman Brothers Band, The Who, Guns N’ Roses and Santana. He was also the chief photographer at Woodstock.
