Marianne Faithfull: A Secret Life

On March 21, 1995, “Island” label released “A Secret Life”, the twelfth Marianne Faithfull studio album. It was recorded in 1994, at “Excalibur Sound” and “National Edison Recording Studio” in New York City, and was produced by Angelo Badalamenti.

In April 1957, “Columbia” label released “Such Sweet Thunder”, album by Duke Ellington. It was recorded August 1956 – March 1957, and was produced by Irving Townsend. The album is a twelve-part suite based on the work of William Shakespeare.

Frank Turner: England Keep My Bones

On June 6, 2011, “Xtra Mile” label released “England Keep My Bones”, the fourth Frank Turner album. It was recorded January-February 2011, at “Sound City Studios” in Los Angeles, California, and was produced by James Ford. The album’s title is taken from William Shakespeare’s play, “The Life and Death of King John”.

Fleetwood Mac: Then Play On

On September 19, 1969, “Reprise” label released “Then Play On”, the third Fleetwood Mac studio album. It was recorded 1968 – 1969, at “CBS Studios”; and “De Lane Lea Studios” in London, and was produced by Peter Green, Danny Kirwan, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood. The painting used for the cover of the album is “Domesticated Mural Painting”, by the English artist Maxwell Armfield.
