Summerteeth

On March 9, 1999, “Reprise” label “Summerteeth”, the third Wilco studio album. It was recorded August 1997 – November 1998, at “Pedernales Recording Studio” in Spicewood, Texas, and was produced by Jeff Tweedy, jay Bennett, John Stirratt and Ken Corner.

On February 3, 1997, “Mercury” label released “White on Blonde”, the fourth Texas studio album.  It was recorded 1994 – 1997, at “Chateau De La Rouge” in France, “The Church” in London, “Abbey Road Studios” and “Parklane Studios” in London, and was produced by Sharleen Spiteri, Ally McErlaine, Johnny McElhore, Eddie Campbell, Richard Hynd, Mike Hedges, Dave Stewart and Rae Christian. It has been certified 6x Platinum by the “British Phonographic Industry”. In 1988, the album was voted the 86th greatest album of all time by “Q” magazine readers, and it was ranked at number 34 in “Q’s” “Best 50 Albums of Q’s Lifetime.”

On January 16, 1971, “London” label released “ZZ Top’s First Album”, the debut ZZ Top studio album. It was recorded in 1970, at the “Robin Hood Studios” in Texas, and was produced by Bill Ham.

Freddie King

On December 28, 1976, Freddie King died aged 42. He was musician (guitar) and singer, with music roots were from Chicago and Texas blues, often mentioned as one of “the Three Kings” of electric blues guitar, along with Albert King and B.B. King. Freddie King was one of the first bluesmen to have a multi-racial backing band at live performances. His biggest successes were singles “Have You Ever Loved a Woman” (1960) and “Hide Away” (1961).King inspired many famous musicians including Eric Clapton, Jerry Garcia,Peter Green, Dickey Betts and Stevie Ray Vaughan.  In 2012 Freddie King was inducted into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame”.
