Stereolab: Sound-Dust

On August 28, 2001, “Elektra” and “Duophonic” labels released “Sound-Dust”, the seventh Stereolab studio album. It was recorded October 2000 – February 2001, at “Soma” in Chicago, Illinois, and was produced by John McEntire and Jim O’Rourke.

The album was certified 2 x Platinum in Australia by “ARIA”, Platinum in Canada by “Music Canada”, Platinum in Denmark by “IFPI Denmark”, Platinum in Sweden by “GLF”, 2 x Platinum in the UK by “BPI”, and Platinum in the US by “RIAA”.

On July 27, 1993, “Virgin” label released “Siamese Dream”, the second Smashing Pumpkins (The) studio album. It was recorded December 1992 – March 1993, at “Triclops Sound Studios” in Marietta, Georgia, and was produced by Butch Vig and Billy Corgan. In 2003, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked it number 362 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. The album was certified 4 x Platinum in Canada by “CRIA”, and 4 x Platinum in US by “RIAA”.
