Kriss Kristofferson

On September 28, 2024, Kristoffer Kristofferson died aged 88 years. He was musician (guitar, harmonica), singer, composer and actor. His best known songs are “Me and Bobby McGee”, “For the Good Times”, “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down”, and “Help Me Make It Through the Night”. Kristofferson has won three “Grammy Awards” and received the “Lifetime Achievement Award” in 2014. As leader he released twenty-one albums.

Nick Gravenites

On September 18, 2024, Nick Gravenites died aged 85. He was musician (guitar), singer and songwriter, performed and recorded with Mike Bloomfield, Charlie Musselwhite, John Cipollina and Quicksilver Messenger Service, but was best known as lead singer of Electric Flag. With John Cipollina he formed the Nick Gravenites–John Cipollina Band.

Borisav “Bora” Đorđević 

On September 4, 2024, Borisav “Bora” Đorđević (known as Bora Čorba) died aged 71. He was singer, songwriter, musician (guitar, harmonica, percussion) and poet, member of the bands Hermelini, Suncokreti, PORS, Zajedno and Rani Mraz, but was best known as singer and leader of Riblja Čorba.

Abdul Kareem “Duke” Fakir 

On July 22, 2024, Abdul Kareem “Duke” Fakir died aged 88. He was singer, a founding member of the quartet Four Tops. In 1990, as a member of the Four Tops, Fakir was inducted into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 1997, he was inducted into the “Vocal Group Hall of Fame”, in 1999, in the “Grammy Hall of Fame”, in 1998, received the “Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award”. 

James Chance

On June 18, 2024, James Siegfried aka James Chance (also known as James White) died aged 71. He was musician (alto saxophone, keyboards), singer and songwriter, one of the key figures in the New York no wave scene. He was member of Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, James Chance and the Contortions, James White and the Blacks, The Flaming Demonics, James Chance & the Sardonic Symphonics, James Chance and Terminal City, and James Chance and Les Contortions. As member of various bands Chance released 14 albums, and under his name one album.

Mike Pinder

On April 24, 2024, Michael Thomas Pinder died aged 82. He was musician (keyboards) and singer, known as the founding member and keyboards player of the band Moody Blues. Pinder was renowned for his contributions in the development and emergence of the Mellotron in 1960s rock music. In 2018, he was inducted into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” as a member of the Moody Blues.As leader Pinder released two albums.
