Thelonious Monk: Monk’s Music

In November 1957, “Riverside” label released “Monk’s Music”, an album by Thelonious Monk Septet. It was recorded in June 1957, and was produced by Orrin Keepnews. In 2001, the album was inducted into the “Grammy Hall of Fame”.

On November 2, 1999, “Roswell” and “RCA” labels released “There Is Nothing Left to Lose”, the third Foo Fighters studio album. It was recorded March – June 1999, at “606” in Alexandria, Virginia, “Conway” in Los Angeles, and was produced by Adam Kasper, Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel and Taylor Hawkins. In 2001, “There Is Nothing Left to Lose” won the “Grammy Award for Best Rock Album”.

It was released under the name “Hawklords” for legal reasons, as there was a dispute over ownership of the name “Hawkwind” at the time. It was recorded June – August 1978, at “Ronnie Lane’s Mobile Studio” at Langley Farm, Devon, UK, and was produced by Dave Brock and Robert Calvert.
