The album was certified Platinum in the US by the “RIAA”. “St. Elsewhere” was voted best release of 2006 by “Pop Matters”. In 2007, the album won “Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album”.

Burroughs and John Giorno. It was recorded at “You’re the Guy I Want to Share My Money With, and was produced by Laurie Anderson and Roma Baran.
