On April 19, 1982, “Warner Bros” label released “Big Science”, the debut Laurie Anderson album. Laurie Anderson had previously recorded one side of a 2-LP set titled “You’re the Guy I Want to Share My Money With”, a collaboration released on Giorno Poetry Systems with William S. Burroughs and John Giorno. It was recorded at “You’re the Guy I Want to Share My Money With, and was produced by Laurie Anderson and Roma Baran.


  • Laurie Anderson– vocals, vocoder, Farfisa organ,  percussion, Oberheim OB-Xa, sticks,  violins,  electronics, keyboards, handclaps, whistling, marimba
  • Roma Baran– Farfisa bass, glass harmonica, sticks, handclaps, casiotone, accordion, whistling
  • Perry Hoberman– bottles, sticks, handclaps,  flute, sax, piccolo, backing vocals
  • David Van Tieghem– drums, rototoms, timpani, marimba, percussion
  • Rufus Harley– bagpipes
  • Chuck Fisher– alto and tenor saxophone
  • Bill Obrecht– alto sax
  • Peter Gordon– clarinet, tenor sax
  • George Lewis– trombones
  • Richard Cohen– b-flat clarinet, e-flat clarinet, bass clarinet,  bassoon o, baritone saxophone
  • Leanne Ungar– backing vocals
