Billy Talent: Afraid of Heights

On June 29, 2016, “Warner Music Canada” label released “Afraid of Heights”, the fifth Billy Talent studio album. It was recorded January –April 2016 at “Revolution Recording”, and “Dudebox Studios” in Toronto, and was produced by Ian D’Sa.

Wayne Jackson

On June 21, 2016, Wayne Lamar Jackson died aged 74. He was musician (trumpet, trombone, French horn). song writer and producer, playing trumpet in the “Stax Records” house band The Mar – Keys, but best known as co-founder, together with Andrew Love, and member of The Memphis Horns, regarded as  “arguably the greatest soul horn section ever”. Jackson and Love played together on 52 No. 1 songs, and recorded and toured with many famous names, including Elvis Presley, Otis Reding, Neil Diamond, Aretha Franklin, The Doobie Brothers, Al Green, Dusty Springfield, Jimmy Buffet, Robert Cray, Sam & Dave and many others. In 2012, the Memphis Horns received a “Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award” for outstanding artistic significance in music.

Alison Moyet: Other

On June 16, 2017, “Cooking Vinyl” label released “Other”, the ninth Alison Moyet studio album. It was recorded 2016 – 2017, at “Frou Frou Central” in London, and was produced by Guy Sigsworth.

Henry McCullough

On June 14, 2016, Henry Campbell Liken McCullough died aged 72. He was musician (guitar), singer and songwriter, worked with many musicians including Joe Cocker, George Harrison, Roy Harper, Frankie Miller, Eric Burdon, Marianne Faithful, Ronnie Lane, Donovan, Bobby Harrison, Steve Marriot, Time Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber. McCullough was member of Spooky Tooth, The Grease Band, Dr. Feelgood and Wings. As leader he released one EP and five solo albums.
