It was recorded 1995 – 1996, at “Chetau de la Rouge Motte” in Normandy, France, “Big Noise” in Cardiff, Wales, “Real World”, “Box” in UK, and was produced by Mike Hedges, Dave Eringa and Stephen Hague.

Track Productions” in St. Anne Des Lacs, Quebec, Canada, and was produced by Robert John “Mutt” Lange. In December 2000, the album was certified 12× Platinum by the RIAA in USA. In 2006, “The Woman in Me” was ranked number 8 on CMT’s list of “40 Greatest Albums in Country Music”.
