On February 28, 1995, “Delenum” label released “The Sky Moves Sideways”, the third Porcupine Tree studio album. It was recorded June 1993 – July 1994, and was produced by Steven Wilson.

On February 28, 1983, “Island” label released “War”, the third U2 studio album. It was recorded May – August 1982, at “Windmill Lane Studios” in Dublin, and was produced by Steve Lillywhite and Bill Whelan. In 2012, magazine “Rolling Stone” ranked “War” at number 223  on its list of  the “500 Greatest Albums of all Time”.

On February 28, 1979, “Warner Bros” released the self-titled, debut Rickie Lee Jones album. It  was recorded in 1978, at “Warner Bros. Recording Studios” and “The Burbank Studios”, and was produced by Lenny Waronker  and  Russ Titelman. In 1980, the album won Rickie Lee Jones “Grammy” for “Best New Artist.”

On February 28, 2008, George Allen Miles aka Buddy Miles died aged 60.  He was musician (drums, percussion), singer, songwriter and producer, worked with Jimmy Hendrix, The Delfonics, The Ink Spots, Wilson Pickett, Electric Flag, Stevie Wonder, David Bowie, Muddy Waters and Barry White.
