On January 3, 1981, “A&M” label released “Wild-Eyed Southern Boys”, the fourth 38 Special studio album. It was recorded September 1979 – July 1980, at “Studio One” in Doraville, Georgia, US, and was produced by Rodney Mills.

It was recorded June 1973 – January 1974, at “Studio One” in Doraville, Georgia, “Record Plant Studios” in Los Angeles, and was produced by Al Kooper. In 1987, “Second Helping” was certified 2 x Platinum by RIAA.

It was recorded April – August 1977, at “Criteria Studios” in Miami, Florida; “Studio One” in Doraville, Georgia, and “Muscle Shoals Sound Studios” in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and was produced by Tom Dowd, Jimmy Johnson and Tim Smith. The album was certified 2 x Platinum in the US by “RIIA”.
