Andy Fletcher

On May 26, 2022, Andrew John Leonard Fletcher died aged 60. He was musician (keyboards, synthesizers, bass, samplers), DJ and manager, member of the band No Romance, but was best known as founding member of Depeche Mode. In 2020, Fletcher was inducted into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” as a member of Depeche Mode.

Big Walter Horton

On December 8, 1981, Walter Horton aka Big Walter Horton or Walter “Shakey” Horton died aged 60. He was musician (harmonica), regarded as one of the best harmonica players in the blues history. Willie Dixon said about Horton “the best harmonica player I ever heard”, and Robert Palmer named him as “one of the three great harmonica soloists of modern blues”. In 1982, Horton was posthumously inducted into the “Blues Hall of Fame”.

Peter Grant

On November 21, 1995, Peter James “G” Grant died aged 60. He was music manager, working with Led Zeppelin, The Yardbirds, The Jeff Beck Group, Terry Reid,  The New Vaudeville Band, Bad Company, Maggie Bell, The Nashville Teens and Stone the Crows. He was known as “one of the most ruthless and successful managers in rock history”.

Ronald Asheton

On January 6, 2009, Ronald Franklin Asheton died aged 60. He was musician (guitar, bass), songwriter and actor, best known as founding member (together with Iggy Pop, his brother Scott Asheton and Dave Alexander) and guitarist of The Stooges. In 2014, “Rolling Stone” magazine ranked him at number 60 on its list of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time”.
