Hearts

On March 19, 1975, “Warner Bros” label released “Hearts”, the fifth America studio album. It was recorded in January 1975, at “The Record Plant” in Sausalito, California, and was produced by George Martin.

On February 24, 1978, “Bronze” label released “Watch”, a studio album with several live tracks by Manfred Mann’s Earth Band. It was recorded in 1977, at “Workhouse Studios” in London, and was produced by Manfred Mann, Chris Slade, Pat King, Dave Flett and Chris Hamlet Thompson.

On October 19, 1993,“Epic” label released “Vs.”, the second Pearl Jam studio album.  It was recorded March – May 1993, at the “The Site in Nicasio” in California and “Potatohead Studio” in Seattle, and was produced by Brendan O’Brien, Eddie Vedder, Dave Abbruzzese, Jeff Ament, Mike McCready and Stone Gossard . The album has been certified 7 x Platinum in US by the “RIAA”.

Gram Parsons

On September 19, 1973, Gram Parsons died aged 26. He was musician (guitar, piano, organ), singer and songwriter, worked with The International Submarine Band, The Flying Burrito Brothers and The Byrds.  He popularized what he called “Cosmic American Music”, a hybrid of country, rhythm and blues, soul, folk, and rock

Smells Like Teen Spirit

Nirvana

On August 17, 1991, Nirvana shot the video clip for the song “Smells Like Teen Spirit”. The shooting that included Nirvana fans as audience took place at GMT Studios in Culver City, California. The cost of the video production was less than $50,000 and the video won Nirvana the Best New Artist and Best Alternative Group awards at the 1992 MTV Video Music Awards. In year 2000, the Guinness World Records named “Smells like teen spirit” the “Most Played Video” on MTV Europe.
